World Diabetes Day 2013

Today marks World Diabetes Day, a day designated to raise awareness of diabetes across the globe.  There are nearly 26 million Americans with diabetes and almost one-third of them are not aware that they have it.

We recognize all of the people we work with and at DiabetesAmerica who are living with diabetes and work to raise awareness of diabetes every day.  We applaud the efforts of the communities we serve that show their support for Diabetes Awareness.  It is a worldwide effort to influence effective management of the complexities of diabetes.

For more information on World Diabetes Day, please visit the International Diabetes Federation website .
