Portion Size Tips

Here are a few everyday tips to help you estimate your portion size:

A medium potato = A computer mouse 

An average bagel = A hockey puck     

1 cup of fruit = A baseball   

3 ounces of meat = A deck of playing cards 

3 ounces of fish = Your checkbook       

1 ounce of cheese = 4 dice    

1 teaspoon Peanut Butter = Tip of your thumb   

1 cup Ice Cream/Frozen Yogurt = Tennis ball    

4” diameter Waffle or Pancake = Compact Disc
